dedicated to the memory of Hans Kraus, M.D., recognized as the
father of sports medicine in the United States, and personal physician
to President John F. Kennedy. Our goal, in perpetuity, is to maintain
the integrity of his original works and to make available to
the public at large his unique back exercise program that has been proven to reduce and/or eliminate back pain for four out of five of program participants.
* Since 1974 over
300,000 people have taken this exercise program. A controlled
computer study of 11,809 people who fully completed questionnaires
revealed that 80% of those who completed the program, including
post-operative surgical cases, achieved either a total elimination
of back pain or considerably reduced their back pain to the extent
that they were able to perform many physical activities they were
previously unable to execute.
* Much available medical
evidence clearly shows that more than 80% of all cases of low
back pain are caused by weak and/or tense muscles, and not by
organic lesions such as vertebral disc disease, rheumatoid arthritis,
benign or malignant tumor, infection, or fracture.

to Back Pain" exercises appear deceptively easy. They are so easy
that you might doubt that they will be of help to you in preventing,
reducing or eliminating back pain. Cast any such doubt from your
mind. Statistical records show that 4 out of 5 people who complete
